The Indian American Identity and Inclusion
Historically, the majority of us with Indian heritage have only been in this country since the 1960s. We are newcomers to the scene. So many of us feel like we are not a part of the historical struggle for civil rights in this country, even though we are only here as a direct result of these very struggles. Especially in this day and age however, it is crucial that we, as Indian Americans, add our voices in solidarity to the greater civil rights movements toward inclusion that are happening in our nation.
